Church Sound Training Day

[Decibel Addict]

One day courses providing basic training for members of a church sound team, focusing on getting the simple things right. Ideal for intermediate and novice users. The day long courses will help to achieve a solid foundation in sound engineering for application in a contemporary church worship setting.

 

19th November 2011, 17th March and 23rd June 2012, Coventry (UK)

• Basic Physics of Sound Waves and the Ear
  
• Basic Electroacoustics and Signal Flow
  
• Wired and Wireless Microphones
  
• Analogue Mixing Consoles
  
• Amplifiers and Loudspeakers
  
• System and Channel EQ
  
• Gain Structure
  
• Good Soundcheck technique
  
• Mixing for Worship
  
• Good Recording techniques for Speech and Podcasting.
  

 

You will also have a practical sound check with a live band, and the chance to get some hands-on mixing practice.

 

9am start, 1pm lunch, and 5pm finish.

Tea and Coffee and a cold Buffet Lunch is included in the price of £40 per person, payable in advance.
