noiseman
Hi all Looking for some assistance with a driver that has sustained what looks like over-excersion damage on a DB Tecnologies sub15. Noticed a clicking sound during soundcheck last night and upon further investigation found the cause to be mechanical and coming from the driver. The surround has a small tear about 3" long on 1 side (where the cone joins the roll-surround)the cone moves in and out smoothly and still works so any other damage seems to have be avoided.. It's a really neat tear and looks as if it could be fixed, Any ideas? It's not foam btw it's clotch. Failing a repair, I'm willing to attempt a recone - anybody have info of a good source and part#? I've tried google but found nothing yet and being the weekend an official answer isn't likely 'til Mon at the earliest but I believe the boxes are basically rebranded RCF, does anyone know of the RCF equivilant for this boxm would the 705as cone work for example? The model # on the rear of the driver is AEB-W-15-4-75 Thanks in anticipation for any assistance offered.
phil dB
Not sure about recone kits for those, but Thomann do have those drivers in stock for about £150. Failing that, I think Ampman are a service centre so may be able to help out.

I have heard that Ampman are possibly the only UK source as they have an exclusive deal with DBtech / RCF.
noiseman
Just to close this one off (and for future reference to anyone else in the same boat), I sourced a new driver from the UK service agents, Ampman audio services.Suprisingly, the cost was very close to the price of a third-party recone and half that of Thomann.
