godd2
Hi all,we are doing the crucible for our 2nd show this fall. problem is we just had a show on the same stage a week ago and this one opens next week so I dont have alot of time to experiement. What I am looking for is a "candle light" look. right now I am using rosco 03 and rosco 64. the 64 is not helping really. so does anyone have any advise to a combination that may give us this look. I think I like the 03 but can I just have 1 color coming from 2 different lights. we have basically set up 2 lights for each area coming in at around 40 degree angles. we just dont have enough lights to do 3 and back light isnt an option because of the set and what we are doing upstage. anyway, any color ideas would be helpfulthanx
GridGirl
Always liked Lee 156 (chocolate) for a candlelight effect.
Roderick
I often used Lee 208 combined with Lee 237.Works beautifully at 50 - 60%.Have a play with some of the correction filters to find a combination that suits you.
Don Allen
Yes having the same colour coming in from two lights spaced at 40 degrees will help give a candle effect as you want shadows on the faces to indicate the light source is a point source, so the face should not be washed out and too bright
rossmck
Always liked Lee 156 (chocolate) for a candlelight effect. Another vote for L156 for a candlelit atmosphere, works really well :)
vinntec
Another vote for L156 for a candlelit atmosphere, works really well :) When I last had to do candlelight (2004), the Lee Filter website in those days suggested L156+L103. This is what I used and it was very realistic, but did take a lot of light away so was less effective as facelighting was brought up. If I look on the Lee site today and search for candlelight, neither L156 or L103 are included... Peter
