Schmitty
Hey Blue Room, I recently bought an A&H GL4 from a friend of mine for $500. It came with a meter bridge and power supply. The console itself has about 11 channel strips that need some work, and the power supply either needs repair or replacement. Pertaining to the power supply, am I restricted to the A&H RPS10 power supply or can a substitution be made? I trust my soldering skills and ability to read a schematic, but I haven't been able to find schematics for it (also it states in bold letters on the casing "NO SERVICABLE PARTS IN THIS COMPONENT"). Any suggestions/ links/ tips are greatly appreciated.
Dave C
Get in touch with Allen & Heath tech support via the website. Very helpful with repair info and advice in my experience with a number of their mixers, incl the GL4. Dave C.
graemeftv
hi psu wise repair is possible, replacement with an alternative is also possible with some smaller switchmode psu's dead channels, easy to compare, replacement channel strips might still be available. fault finding pretty easy if you have some experience. pm for more advice
