lampyfromliverpool
Hi all, I can't think of an example off the top of my google/head, but I'm looking for some festoons I can hang vertically as a backdrop. I'd need each bulb to have it's own DMX address. I have heard of someone hacking their Sunstrips open and turning them into addressable festoons, but wondered if there was already a (hire-able) fixture that exists out there. I know digital festoons exist but I'd rather have the lovely glow of a filament if at all possible. Can anyone point me in the right direction? AndyJones
I had a topic where I was looking for some. It's a brilliant product, PRG have some, as do Colour Sound experiment. I believe there is a company up north- But I can't remember who! If you want a tungsten version - I believe white light do a version Regards, Andy Jones

Jivemaster
http://www.pulsarlight.com/Products/LEDLighting/ChromaSphere/tabid/74/Default.aspx Pulsar Chromasphere seems to be suitable, and Pulsar are good at free plasa tickets so worth a try! Ask them for a suggested hirer, or they may hire.
James Remo
Even the smallest chromaspheres may be too large to use as festoon, Coloursound Experiment stock them as well, but I don't think they stock enough to be used as a decent run of festoon. I'd stick to the glasson units, Coloursound have the led units not the tungsten ones irrc
niclights
Unfortunately the Pulsar stuff also requires a PSU which can drive a maximum of twelve individually controllable units, each needing a cable that runs to the PSU. You don't want to go there! And it's not tungsten, obviously...
rossmck
Pretty sure WhiteLight had some of the Glasson DFS2000 in rental stock ? How long would you need it for, and how much of it - I know someone with some of it (but not 100s of lamps!) in the North of England if you're stuck. Tom Baldwin
There's also the White Light Digital Festoon system, which appears to be available as a rental item from them (as well as sales)
