Neil_m_123
Hi all, I been asked to have a look at a Mac 500 that has had a colour filter replaced incorrectly, as the filter has been placed on the open of the colour wheel . Does anyone know if I can I use the calibrate or adjustment function on the menu to change the settings so it goes to the new open on the colour wheel or do I have to take it out and re attach it? Many Thanks
gareth
How did they manage to get the filter into the open white position? In a MAC500, the colours clip into the color wheel using a series of springy retaining clips near the centre of the wheel - but the open white position doesn't have such a clip, so how is the colour staying in there? Jamtastic3
You should maybe just change it since the colours won't match other Mac 500 colour wheel scrolls (depending on how important it is I guess...)
Neil_m_123
This mac doesn't have the springy clips. I think its a older model as I have seen some with these clips and some without. Its u.v glued on hence I'm a little worried about trying to get it off without breaking the pettle
timsabre
You'll have to remove it, I'm pretty sure you can't adjust it in the settings and even if you could, as Jamtastic says all the other colours would be wrong.
Kingstech
Can I ask which desk it is you are using? Because I know from when I have created fixtures you can set the default value for when the fixture is homed, It may be worth finding the original Fixture File online or from the desk and changing it to suit your MAC500 HTH Callum
