leejlight
I've been buying cheap jack cable so I can connect my ipod to my drum machine, but they just don't seem to last, can anyone recommend anywhere I can get a good quality cable from from? Thanks
Aaron-Hill07
Anything Van Damme will be good, you can get cables made up with the best cable and connectors from companies such as AC Entertainment I believe!

Thanks Why don't they last? What goes wrong with them? Sometimes it's better to go with cheap nasty cable and connectors and make sure you have a couple of spares handy, simply because the life they get it's not worth investing in better. We use cheap nasty phono cables on all our CDJ's, because they're always getting yanked out by DJs in the dark, trapped under laptop stands and generally mistreated. mjriley
We sell professional 3.5mm jack cables made Van Damme cable and Neutrik jacks. linkThey will outlast any cheap cables by a significant margin. Mike
Andrew C
As ever... CPC do a "better than cheapest" range that I'd be happy to use in your position. Although the overmoulding on the connectors might be too big if the 3.5 socket is recessed. Still cheap enough to by 5 though!

timtheenchanteruk
I usually go for the cheap one on these, working on if it gets yanked, the cable will break, not the thing its plugged into...(school tech train of thought on that one im afraid)
MidlandsAudio
I for one second Van Damme!!
Stuart91
I tend to find that minijack cables get lost really easily, so building expensive ones just isn't worthwhile.
Tall Guy
Kelsey will make a custom cable for you. J Pearce
One thing to consider is that a stronger cable may not break, thereby transferring that force onto your iPod's headphone jack. Which is cheaper, a new cable or a new iPod? [edit] Damn, Tim beat me to it. It's definitely a school tech way of thinking!!
