doesnt necessarily have to be low voltage just becuase its running off of a railed power supply, though it could be

looks to me like a cross between a long nosed par36 and an old patt123 profile thing or a gobo projector... what was it projecting if anything, that might help

It was much larger than a Pattern 23. Bigger even than a Source 4 I would hazard. At first glance it reminded me of the old Vari-Lite advert when they brought out the 1000 series, where they had a source 4 with pan and tilt yoke, gobo rotator, scroller, etc. It wasnt projecting at the time, but I'd say it was a profile of sorts, although I've no idea what it would be used for. It was situated above the cafeteria seating area. There is only one (pictured) that I could see.

I was gonna say source 4 but I wasnt entirely sure so I didnt, but my suspicions were corrected, I dont know what the s4 juniors look like but I imagine they are a smaller version of the s4 - could it be an s4 jnr?? in silver???

My guess it's an archectrical product of some sort. The LV (12v) guess is good, but I'm pretty sure we have 240v rails at work, might need to get the multimeter on them.

Anyway, judging by the lock off devise on the yoke, I presume it doesn't move.

ive seen this fixture somewhere before??

there is a few services down south with them installed, ive only ever seen 1 that is operational.

And it was projecting the time on a wall, (clock face).

it was quite a bright light source I would say maybe a HTI300 lamp? so the rail is most possibly 240v, there is two points of electrical feed, so im guessing one for the light source, (ballast ect) and one for the effects cassete, (clock face in this case).

The man is right you know! I've seen the clock too; it may have been in the services on the way to Dover. I can't think which other services I've been in for a long time...

Oh & BTW mains track with two circuits is not unusual at all. Loads of varieties in any wholesaler, or at least there used to be....

It looks like something Opti Kinetics might have produced, At first glance it looked like the bastard child of a K2 but looking at their catalouge it might be an earlier version of their "GoBo" or GoBo Pro projectors?
