Benny-Digital
Hello there.. Just a little help please if possible from you guys. I have a pair of Dare 400 active speakers but I only have room for 1 of them in my studio room. Is it possible to hook that 1 speaker up to my turntables at all? I'm pretty sure the last time I tried I had problems with the balance.. Thanks in advance, Ben.
jonathanhill
You need to create a mono sum of the stereo output.
cameroncoats
Be careful with how you do this as a simple combining cable can cause phasing issues, and magically remove centre panned vocals. ( I have a feeling that I am wrong on this, and that this only happens with balanced line...)Also, you will probably need a phono preamp (I'm going to assume that you have this).Just run the left channel of your mixer/preamp into the speaker. Its going to be difficult to get a stereo mix from a single speaker http://www.blue-room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif.
