mitchino
I've had an ad in the for sale section for a whole bunch of Anytronics Anycolour DFBs. I've been thinking I ought to put them up on an architectural lighting forum, as that's where they are used most. Can anyone recommend any good sites or forums with for sale sections for the architectural electrical installer fraternity? Thanks
adam2
You might find the IET forums usefulIET forumsThough these forums are for electricians and electrical engineers in all fields, not just architectural lighting.
musht
Managed to shift some architectural dimmers on Gearsource Europe, took a while to move, but a very easy deal in the end. http://www.gearsourceeurope.com/
mitchino
Thanks for the info folks,I'm a bit confused by the gear source europe site, they seem to say they charge VAT on all sales. Is that on top of their commission? This is a private sale, I'm not VAT registered so how does it work? also how long did it take to shift your dimmers? musht
Gearsource issued a purchase order from themselves to me, presumably then add comission + VAT to their clients invoice. They emailed shipping labels and arranged pick up by UPS, payment, in my case +VAT as VAT registered, was prompt to my bank though they do say, may be up to 30 days. Took quite a few months to shift, but listing was free and the actual sale was hassle free, would certainly consider them for selling and buying again. Ebay is pretty much dead for one off sales of s/h gear, or very much a buyers market...
mitchino
so excuse me for being dumb, but just to clarify, you got paid by gearsource at the sale price you wanted and advertised at?
musht
AFAIR but email them and ask, very friendly people to deal with , you don`t need to be PRG to get a reply ;-)
