jmholt08
Does anyone know where I can get two stand adaptors for Celestion SR1's? I need to stack 2 cabinets on each speaker stand and the integral hole for the stand is only supposed to be strong enough for one cabinet.

Given the change of ownership at Celestion, you may have difficulty. FWIW I used to come into regular contact with a rig which used 2 x SR1s (and sometimes 3) stacked over an SR8 sub. I'm pretty sure that it was only the standard hole in the bottom being used, and I'm not aware of any issues. There is probably some imaginative way to bodge around the problem, but I don't expect it'll be worth the time or money. If you're concerned about the mounting you may be better off sourcing something else? Edit to add: the current Celestion distributors are http://www.lean-business.co.uk Might be worth getting in touch with them just in case they have the parts lurking at the back of their store. bruce
The hole in the bottom - at least on the Mk1 SR1 - is smaller than the standard 35mm pole. Maybe 28mm? There are a couple of threaded inserts on the base, so it's easy enough to bolt on a pair of external top-hat adaptors - something like http://cpc.farnell.com/stageline/past-40-sw/stand-adaptor-35mm-external-top/dp/ST01795 - although if I remember correctly the 2 threaded inserts are along the centre line, one front, one back, so a "wider" stand adaptor may be better. Stuart91
The other thing worth mentioning - do you have the brackets that screw into the back of the cabinets to link them together? (Wrapping them in gaffa tape is not a particularly satisfactory alternative)
abbotsmike
Something like this http://www.stagebeat.co.uk/product.php?product_id=112464&source=froogle an option? gives you more flexibility with regards to angling the cabs too.

Given the width of horizontal coverage from one SR1, an adaptor like this would probably just be a recipe for comb filtering unfortunately. Unless the OP is needing to cover a wide area (outdoors?) where the additional coverage would be useful. (Yes, stacking the speakers on top of each other will also produce comb filtering, but our ears are much less sensitive to it in the vertical rather than horizontal plane)

Alternatively, for the ultimate comb filtering effect, you can mount two SR1s side by side using the SRH3 "thing", its essentially a Y piece that goes on top of the sub allowing two side by side SR1s. Or you can use it the other way up to mount one top between two subs.
