RoyJ
Anyone know where I can get spares for a Pat 123 ? I need to replace a corroded/burned bulb holder. Thanks ! Hi there, I presume you mean a p28 lamp holder,if so I have two options for you, either a traditional p28 lamp holder or a conversion to take a t18/25( I will have to double check its the right size,it looks ok).If you would like to pm me we can make arrangements to get the holder two you and talk about cost.Regards Roy
boatman
if this lampholder, salvaged from a Patt 23, is any use you're welcome to it for the cost of the postage. Click on the thumbnail for a larger image. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-5/1185528/tn_Patt23Lampholder.jpg Incidentally, if anyone else is interested I also have the reflector, lens and shutters from that lantern. Only the diecast casing was smashed.

If so yes please to those as well.Regards Roy.p.s to the original poster, the cost would be a donation to the company.
boatman
Apart from the lampholder, these are the other Strand parts I have. The lens and reflector/lampholder on the left are from a Prelude F and the lens, reflectors and shutters on the right are all from a Patt 23. There are actually four shutters as I found another one after taking the picture. About a year ago I reconstructed two Prelude 16/30, five Prelude F and two Patt 23 from a huge box of junk recovered from our condemned community centre in Lamlash and this is the reusable leftovers. If there's anything there that's of use to you send me a PM. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-5/1185528/StrandParts.jpg

I was quite prepare to let you have a lamp holder, please be sure before asking. Both myself and Boatman would have been a cheaper option. But still your loss is my gain! Regards Roy Well I apologise, but when I originally posted the question I had no idea that refurbed lamps were available (it was only a matter of luck and timing that I found them). Also, when I posted the question I didnt have a budget; later on I did. Notwithstanding, I am grateful to everyone who has replied to me and I have said thanks in my previous post. Frankly though, if posting here is going to result in such prickly replies, I dont see myself participating further.

For this I apologise,it is certainly always worth posting on the BR, and I have had countless acts of help both by pieces of equipment and advice( see my post for lanterns used for itv news) as an example.Regards Roy
