jcb28 Posted February 16, 2011 Share Posted February 16, 2011 Have been asked to get a high gloss look from a steel deck stage, need to do on the cheap, has anyone done this, maybe put down hard board then eggshell black paint then floor shine polish. andy_s Posted February 16, 2011 Share Posted February 16, 2011 I'd avoid the floor polish. Matt Black emulsion, followed by one or two coats of Bona Mega Gloss Glaze is good for this. Flints sell it, and have some handy tips on how to use it to get a good finish. paulears Posted February 16, 2011 Share Posted February 16, 2011 If you're going to cover the decking, why not just use ordinary gloss. It'll chip with footwork, but lasts a reasonable time.
