originalshez
As part of our building, we have a daytime music system running in one of our cafe/bar type places. However, on occasion they have other things in there (DJ's, spoken word stuff etc) so we run it all through a BSS Soundweb to control the different levels, EQ settings etc. Over the last few days, the Soundweb has reset itself every night. At the end of the day, the staff press the 'back to main' button in order to turn the system off overnight, and then when they go to turn it on in the morning the software has wiped itself. The unit itself is left on permanently. Just wondering if anyone on here had any experience with Soundweb, and could enlighten me as to the cause, as it's a pain in the arse re-loading it all everyday. Cheers, Sam
whisky-zulu
Don't know if this is of any use, but had a quick gander at BSS' website.

originalshez
Yea, it's on a Jellyfish. As far as I'm aware, no-ones messed with the settings. It's happened 3 or 4 times now, and it's been the same people who've been using it for years, so I don't think it's a human error

Have you tried swiching the Soundweb unit off at the mains for a few hours ? I've used Soundweb alot in the past and it never left us down (unless we played around with the settings )

Takeiteasy
Green = soundweb 9088, soundweb 9088is & soundweb 9088iis difference being the amount of memory they each have
dan slv-tech
I use soundwebs on a daily basis in install work if its resetting itself, its more than likely the battery - if this is flat, it wont remember anything. What exactly is attached to the web? a jellyfish? a shrimp? anything else? sameness
+1 for the battery, I have seen this happen on units before, and its a simple replacement.
law99
Give the fan a check too, I've had a few Soundweb Green (9088iis) units fans fail after a few years causing thermal lockups / power cycles. [Then again, these units were in quite a 'harsh' environment!]
