ETC Ion mac250 shuuter problems

confused

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Just got a new Ion, working with some Mac 250's in our venue.

First time we're plotting with them, and in a few cues when the up time is complete the shutters on the 250's closes.

All the Shutters are set to open, intensity is at full or 40%, there are no flags or obvious settings in the cue which would make this happen.

When cutting to the cue or "going to" the cue it doesn't happen, only when the Go is complete.

Any idea on whats doing this?

Cheers

George

Are they inadvertently ' Marked' (an M if it's anything like the Eos Display in the Cue Stack display)

Is the profile wrong? I doubt it as I think they are the same personalities used on the Eos and I've just programmed a heap of them, they were all okay

Are the Mac's in the correct mode?

Some initial thoughts to be going on with.

Cheers

Thanks for the replies, but still no joy.

Taken all the marks out, still does it.

Personality seems fine too.

Have just noticed that it only happens on long cue fades, for example a 30sec fade will make it happen, short fades seem ok. Taking the 30sec fade and making it 15 made it half happen.

Tried cue time 30, attribute times 5 and still cut the shutters in.

Anyone else got any ideas??

I'm a tad confused here too.

So...

Mac 250 #1 thru 4 (lets say) @ Full, record Q 100/1

Same fixtures, @0, record Q 100/2

Same fixtures @40 record Q 100/3

from what you are saying, in one or two of those cues, the shutter will be closed. if you did a goto cue 100/3 (lets say) it would be fine, but if you were running the stack, it might have a closed shutter in Q100/3?

Cheers

Ok, so small development:

Setting the intensity to 99 sorts it, meaning in some cues it doesn't like being at 100% hence why cue complete causes it.

Temporary solution, any more permanent solutions welcome!

Also make some funny clinking grinding noises when a cue is cut too, as if an attribute is stuck or hitting it's end stops.
