TomHoward
Afternoon all For a certain national event in April I've been asked to look into an outdoor screen. I was originally given a brief of projection but this sounds a little outrageous to me - we're looking for a screen size of diagonal at least 12 feet. I've given a search of the forum and it seems to me that we probably want a Barco B10 or similar trailer-mounted LED screen. Can anyone suggest any other solutions, or anyone in the Suffolk / Norfolk / Essex area that might be able to hire us one?
jason5d
Depends if it day or night - we can project at night, but day time requires an led screen - more expensive.
TomHoward
Apologies - I didn't mention that, it's during the day.
jason5d
so projection is out of the question as it's daytime, you need an led screen we do a mobile led from £1500
TomHoward
What screen size is that for? Do feel free to give me a call. The date is April 29th (Royal Wedding) so most places seem to be busy (no surprise there..)
richard
I've found lightmedia to be great for low-cost screens with a good level of service, they may well be busy by then but you could give them a call - http://www.lightmedia.co.uk/

Peter F
Loads of companys around, search google. Thanks for your valuable contribution. As someone who has freelanced for Lightmedia (LMD) I can confirm they have got a good range of outdoor screens mounted on vehicles. The range is on their website: Outdoor Screens. I believe there is another 10sqm screen in stock that isn't on the website. It might be worthwhile asking suppliers for a price on modular screens. You are not after anything massive so it wouldn't be a mammoth task to build one. Whatever you do, I strongly advise you do it sooner rather than later. I know for certain that there have been a very high number of enquiries for Royal wedding screens and I would imagine all the other outdoor screen hire companies are in the same position. Cheers, Peter

TomHoward
Just to wrap this up - in the end we got a 10m^2 (4.6m x 2.7m) screen from ODMTV for a very reasonable cost - their price list goes as low as £500+VAT for a weekday. Very happy with quality & service.
