Strobe on Robe Colorwash 250AT

If you look in the manual, it shows you where the strobe function is on the shutter channel. I'm guessing that the desk will be setting the shutter as open when you locate the fixture. The strobe function sits between 25% and 38% on that channel, so its a narrow band you have to control between. You then have the pulse open / pulse close / random stobe higher up that channel.

I knew were the shutter control is, it gives you options such as shutter open, shutter closed, random strobe, pulse opening, pulse closing and strobe next to that is a effect then a zoom (the zoom I know about) but I cant seem to find what the effect bit does and still after 3 hours of trying still no further into finding how to speed up the strobe function

Cheers

I am not sure if I quite understand where you are coming from but when I used 4 robe AT series on a leapfrog I assigned all the fixtures into fixture control area to the right of the desk.

Then after selecting the fixtures you wish to edit press the colour/gobo buttons.

You have to press them more than once to scroll through all of the options for that one button. (eg press the gobo button 3 times to get to the iris function).

You should find the display shows "shutter" and can be controlled using the far right jog wheel. 0-255 is displayed and within that should be the strobe function (for example 145 could be slow strobe and 165 fast).

I may have got the wrong end of the stick, but the shutter function was easy to use and manipulate when I used it.

The effect (controlled I think by the left jog wheel) controls the inbuilt effects like figure of 8 shapes etc (dont hold me to that, it was a long time since I used these)

You should easily be able to find the strobe function within the 0-255 on the shutter jog wheel. (Exactly as Wol said previously)

I hope this is of help to you,

Toby
