Sanyo XF47 Serial Com Address

Doe's anyone know how to set the address for serial com on Sanyo XF47?

There is a setting to give the projector an id between 1 and 999 which by default is set to 1 so you can control several units in a daisy chain fashion, go menu//setting//proj. id. you then prefix the standard hex codes with the specific address, that way prefixed codes will only be accepted by units that match that prefix.

If you need a copy of the protocol and actual codes....

what do you need to do?

As far as I remember setting the address for serial com is done on the service menu, at least for the XF45 that was the way.

the problem is I cant remember how to get to the service menu and in which slot used for the address.

its simple, press menu, go right to settings then down to projector id, from memory its on the last "page" or in other words pretty much all the way down. Its no harder than changing inputs or any thing else, and it isnt hidden ...The xf 47 has a much more obvious and accessible menu structure than the 45.

Should you care to read the actual manual, go to

Im sure its mentioned ....

To enter service menu on the xf47 - press Menu and Image buttons on the unit for 3 seconds - this will enter service menu

ID Setting?? - I dont think this is done in the service menu - its done on the normal pull down menu

Maybe you are trying to set up the Baud rate ( Rs232) - this is done in the service menu -- option group 10
