AndyJones
Hello Guys, I am having a couple of issues with some mac 250 Entours I have on the bench, before I get too involved I just thought I'd ask here to see if any one had any ideas... 1) One Entour takes out a 30ma trip every time it's plugged in, There is no dead short anywhere so I guess something is leaking to earth? Nothing obvious though? 2) A couple of the 3 pin outputs don't work, yet the 5 pin outputs work fine. all the solder joints look fine and everything buzzes out fine? Any Ideas appreciated! When you say they 'don't work' what do you mean?If you connect another Mac 250 to the output then the second one doesn't perform to function, OR are you plugging a different bit of kit in to test that? AndyJones
I have plugged various bits of kit into the output, when a bit of pressure is applied to the XLR shell, the first Mac, and the unit plugged into it starts doing all sorts of odd things. I think this may be where the unit has had the cables pulled upwards to be taped onto the truss maybe one of the legs on the PCB mount XLR has cracked or snapped? In regards to the tripping unit, that all seems to be ok at the moment which is a bit mysterious? I found that one of the earth cables inside had quite a damaged sheath, so I am wondering whether that was shorting out on something?
