Hi all out there, I've got a few futurelight MH640 250 wash lights, basically the same as a Robe 250 xt, apart from there being no red of any kind in the colour spectrum of them, the main problem I have is that when I flash the dimmer channel it's really slow. They don't seem to have a tracking mode on them so I can't adjust this and the the shutter channel work fine so its not the stepper.... Any ideas how to solve this or is it a call to robe.....?

Many thanks, Matt

no the on board CPU programming would need to be altered to increase the speed. the shutter is vector tracking, so unless you can send shutter on / shutter off commands at full speed this will still only produce up to 5 flashes a second on DMX, so not really fast enough for proper strobing.

I remember the old acme MH6606 was the same. the on board strobing was pathetic. really down to the development team, Robe may have upgradeable software for the head, but it is unlikely.

OP is talking about dimmer function, not shutter.

They do have a motor speed channel. 5 on 16bit or 3 on 8bit. It should be set to zero for full speed. If it already is and the dimmer is still slow then I guess that's how they are. There are no settings on the fixture itself as far as I am aware.
