parky58
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this posting, but I want to build a couple of custom mixer cases. I can get all the fittings locally at CPC but these are suitable for a 10.5mm thick panels which they don't appear to sell. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm in Preston so a local supplier would be useful. Regards, Steve

Simon Lewis
Unless you actually need cases with 10.5mm panels, I'd buy the hardware to suit the job! If you are purchasing panels from Adam Hall, why not buy all the fittings? There is a difference in quality between various hardware fittings. paulears
Having built a few cases from parts, I can now build them almost as good as the dodgy seconds or road thrashed second hand ones you see on ebay. Despite having pretty good construction skills - building cases that are strong and durable is damn hard, and I hope I never need to build another again. The old maxim measure twice, cut once should be measure as many times as you like,it still wont fit!
parky58
Thanks for your wisdom chaps. I think swan seem to have what I want. I take on board Paul's comments about building cases from scratch. I was looking to build one for a Jester lighing desk and another for a multicore splitter which would about half the costs. As it turns out I have an old ABS mixer case I can use and I'll wait for a while for a lighting desk case. I also thought it would keep me occupied in these quiet, dark winter months.Regards, Steve
