"Across the Board" Digital Consoles Training Day at SFL

Is this the kind of thing you could drop in on later in the day and leave early? Just looking at train times. If it's planned activities from 10 till 5 then travelling gets a little silly.

Edit; In fact, forget that, train fares from Leeds are still going to be £80+. It's a great idea, but it's a bit much for me just at the minute! Might have to smile at the boys from SSE North and see what they can get in for me to have a look at.

Yes, sadly I'm working on the Wednesday, but I've wangled the day off on Saturday to attend. Had I thought of it sooner, I should have suggested to Mark that a Monday, when most of us are dark would be a good day.

A massive thanks all the guys and girls at SFL for putting the event on, and for the coffee!

As a total newcomer to the world of digital desks this was a great opportunity to see (and play with) a range of equipment, and to get to grips with the basic principles of digital mixing.

I am looking forward to the SFL courses coming back online, so that I can develop my skills further.

Big thanks to Mark and the SFL team for a really useful day. It was interesting that most of the demo teams weren't the usual sales guys we see at PLASA et al but people more involved with using or developing the kit. It gave a very different dynamic to the day.

The trip to the curry house afterwards with old friends was even better! :)
