I see someone has offered to bring along an iLive T80, that could be the clincher for me. Joe The Complicated String Cowww.cs-co.co.uk
waster
Not interested in this day but would be interested if you started running training on the Avid Profile like your M7CL course etc. Work part time in a church that has one and would be interested in picking up some good ways to teach the surface to the volunteers! rickwolkers
Hi yes sounds interesting, I noticed that someone had asked about Allen & Heath, I have a T112 with iDR48 iLIve system which I may be able to bring for the day. Let me know what sort of charge you are thinking of for the day either 16th or 17th Feb would be good..Hi All I am trying to get some motivation together (!) and I wanted to guage interest. If I put together a day where we put up all the console technology we have under the roof here at SFL and did a training "hands on" day overview would there be interest. Would it be helpful? Here is a list of kit we could play with together, we will set it all up and have it ready for playtime: Presonus 1642 (its cheap, small and I like it!)Roland M300/M400 + S4000/S1608 and M48 (in addition we will set up M48 personal mixers and Sonar direct PC REAC recording)DigiDesign SC48 (the new guys seem to like this... we will also fire wire it out 18 channels into Protools LE for extra fun)DigiDesign Venue Profile (Stage Rack) Yamaha M7CL (ES) with SB1608 ... we will look at ES direct ASIO streaming for record and playback also....yes we will do the Ipad thing!Yamaha PM5D ... well you have to don't you? So thats the board line up and some technologies to look at.Dates... Well how about 16th or 17th Feb? We sould make a small charge to make sure people are serious when they book! What do you think? does this have legs for people? Cheers Mark

Mark Payne
Ok Guys and Girls Yes we are going to do it. Yes its going to be a "show and tell" and I will invite people that have posted here to bring gear we dont have and "represent". It will not be "training" as such, it will be an open forum where we can show eachother cool stuff. It will be free... .... now the delay..... Big stuff is happening at SFL. We are moving within the same business park and expanding our 8000 sqft to over 16000 sqft (95% sure). This will happen by May 2011 and I have so much to do to assist my team and make it happen. I will decline for now and then invite you all to the new place...... More later! Mark

Mark Payne
Yes Dan... I have just completed 2 days worth of self training on the Venue and SC48. I could crash mix on the boards now. I need another day or so to prep a sequence of stuff to teach. I also need to get the offline editor going and PT LE for simple multitrack rec. ... Also I have an event comming up where I will mix on it for a week so at the end of that I will have a story to tell. M Hi Mark, I'd be interested in this - Obviously up to speed with Yami and Roland things but not got my hand on any of the DigiDesign desks yet - I'd be interested in anything else anyone brings along!
