lx2010
Hi ive been asked to look round for good hire deal at the end of this month for my school 25th Jan in congleton, cheshire we are looking for 4 mac 250 entour or krypton and around 2-4 s4 zooms I have had a quote from prism lighting (http://www.prismlighting.co.uk/) for £42.50 Per Mac For 24h And £8.50 Per S4zm Or SL Zm For 24Hr this seams prity reasonable, would there be any discount because we are a school? I was just wondering if you know of any place that maybe able to offer a cheaper quote the usual suspects are too expensive VME,HSL etc... and SLX is to far away thanks Ollie
smalljoshua
That seems an OK price for the movers, I've seen 250s cheaper though. The price for the Profiles seems good too. We don't have a clue if you'll get any discount seeing as you're a school, only the hire company can tell you that (and a phonecall is usually better) Josh
jonic222
Light the Way - based in Manchester. MAC 250 for £35 for the week, and source fours (of whatever beam angle, or jrs) for £5 per week. They don't tend to advertise day prices, but for a MAC 250 we have got them for a day before from Light the Way for £25. I think even if you include delivery costs it will work out cheaper.Website: www.lighttheway.co.uk
TomHoward
You could also try Pete at Stagetex in Liverpool - his published hire prices are similar to what you're suggesting but you could do worse than give him a call, as he is pretty local to you. Light The Way's policy is that day (or two) hire rate (at least for most stuff) is the same as the weekly rate .. best to think of as "per week or part thereof" maybe ;) Either way, great people to deal with :)
