1930s Stove

I need something along these lines for a production sent in WW2, but ideally one which has been made lighter (or indeed made and light) as it needs to be carried on and off a stage with a few treads by two people. It does not need to be practical.

Ideally, I'd buy one, but happy to hire / borrow (from now until mid-May).

Any pointers to ones you're aware of would also be appreciated.

I know Northern Prop Hire have a couple, but think they're a bit heavy.

Many thanks!

If you have funds available to buy or hire, I suspect you'd probably be better off diverting them into a make.

Looks relatively straightforward, and with a good paint job it could easily be effective.

You're right that they're very heavy, but from my experience when you make them lighter by stripping out as many of the innards as possible (which I have done to tour on a static set - not set and struck each night), you don't lose very much weight, but do lose quite a bit of structural integrity.

My 2p.
