RobertKendall
Hello all, Happy new year Im trying to use a Mac250 Entour as a follow spot, I need the fixture to move from A to B, its currently saved to a fader on the roller cue - very simple but I need to be able to control the movement on the fader instead of the dimmer if that makes any sence? Cheers,
tom_the_LD
You need to change the mode of the fader to Mode 2. Are you using Titan or classic software?

tom_the_LD
Click "Edit Times" (can't remember the softkey), select the playback you want to change, then at the bottom it should say mode. It's set to 0 by default. Press softkey G twice to change this to Mode 2. Either click the playback handle swop again or click Exit. The fixture should then fade with the fader. SanderL
When you use Titan: After you made your memory; exit clear clear. Then Edit Times (softkey A). There you can change your mode (standard is mode 0). When you use Classic Software: After you made your memory; exit clear clear. Then go to the shape generator. Last softkey is Playback Options/Parameters. In this menu you can change your mode from 0 to 2.
niclights
When you use Titan: After you made your memory; exit clear clear. When you use Classic Software: After you made your memory; exit clear clear. Then go to the shape generator. Last softkey is Playback Options/Parameters. In this menu you can change your mode from 0 to 2. I wasn't going to post here since the OP solved the problem and the topic title was not specific but there is so much misinformation and confusion I felt I should clarify: In either software version you toggle the fade mode via the [edit times] menu. Select playback to edit by pressing the associated blue key. You do not need to raise the fader. In Classic it is important that you press <enter> to confirm the edit. In Titan this is not necessary. There is no mode setting in Shape Generator and it is not relevant here. But if you were wanting to control shapes by fader then in Classic you will find two toggle keys for speed/size within the [shape Gen]/[Playback Parameters] menu. In Titan you find them in the [Playback Options] menu. Note that, unlike Classic, in Titan you should not set a shape to mode 2. This will cause problems. Finally, in both versions pressing clear a second time does nothing. While it may be the habit of users to press it more than once it is has no affect and is not correct to instruct users to do this. Pressing clear will clear the programmer and deselect fixtures. In Titan there are options (hold clear button) which can affect what is cleared. This is pertinent to latest versions at time of posting (Classic v2.4/Titan v4.0)
tom_the_LD
As a further thought to this - if you haven't done so already, record the intensity and pan/tilt on separate playbacks. That way the intensity will not be affected when you change the position. Cheers!
