Speaker Servicing

I have 2 X RCF 722 tops and 2 X RCF 905 subs.

I like all my equipment to be in perfect working order and wondered is it common practice to have active speakers "serviced" at regular intervals to ensure peak performance

If it is, does anyone know someone in the North West area that does this.

Thanks

To be honest, devices of any kind that don't have parts that routinely wear out don't need servicing. I guess you could pull them apart, gently whoosh the dust away with a photographic lens brush - but really the only thing that matters with speakers is their visual condition. If they sound great, then they are great! Things like amps need serious dust removal because they will overheat, but loudspeakers don't have any parts that suffer from being used - until they actually die!

Agreed!

Admittedly, many active speakers have amps with fans, which would benefit from the odd session of dust removal, but the ART 700 series are fanless, so pretty much sealed units. So should be maintenance free!
