obi wan kenobi Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Had a call form a school saying that theire iMove 250s is not working, they have replaced the lamp thinking that this was the problem but still can't get any illumination. They say they still have control of the light via the desk but no light is coming through. Has anyone had this problem? if so what was the solution? Are there any trouble shooting steps I can take to try and source the problem? Thanks Obi
Wol Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Have they lamped the fixture on or tried a self test on the fixture? The manual describes how to do this.
obi wan kenobi Posted December 8, 2010 Author Posted December 8, 2010 I doubt that they have, they have mearly picked up the phone when they saw it wasnt working. I shall refer them th the manual. Thanks
Ynot Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Personally I'd refer them to someone who knows how to maintain and repair moving lights...
DrV Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I've had a few of these in recently. One of them behaved as you describe and it turned out to be nothing more than one lamp wire which was not securely screwed into its connector block on the PCB. No burn mark, not intermittent, it had just decided to go on holiday. Dave
obi wan kenobi Posted December 8, 2010 Author Posted December 8, 2010 cheers dave, I'll have a look at that.
