Mac 600, Help

Hi,

Got an issue with a mac 600 have 8 in the rig, all connected in 5pin with a terminator at end of chain. One seems to start dropping in the frost filter, colours and possibly changing position. Doesn't do this for about 40mins after unit is switched on. Sometimes shows various errors.

Any advice would be great? Cant explain much more really

Hi, I dont know about the dropping of the frost filter or colours...but I found this in the manual:

 

BTER (Base temperature error)

HTER (Head temperature error)

DIER (Dimmer time-out)

 

And next to all of the above it says to contact a Martin service technician.

It's a bit difficult to see any common factor connecting all of these symptoms. I've seen the two temperature errors come up together due to a bad IC141 (74HCT132) but when you take the other problems into account it looks more like a problem with the processor chip or with the power supply. Try checking the 5v rail.
