madorangepanda
Hello, I have a 6m wide outdoor stage that will have various choirs, ranging from school groups (20-30 people) through to a few professionals singing on it. The little kids tend to stand in a long line so all the parents can see them, so grouping around a few mics is problematic. (Giving them all a dynamic mic is not feasible either) The audience will be stood close to the front of the stage, so I need something that will not pick them up too much. We have PCC 160s available but I'm not sure if these will be the best option. Would anyone care to suggest how they would do this?

I got really good results earlier this year using 4 x AT815Bs. It was an outdoor event on a school fields featuring, at times, up to around 25 kids in the performance area measuring around 7 meters wide. These mics were superb, and coupled with some Sennheiser Softees I couldn't believe how much gain I got out of them! They have pretty good rejection from the rear also, which meant the eager parents who sat right at the front only then to gossip the whole way through were not heard. Sourced them from Studiocare in Liverpool, and won't hesitate in using them again for a similar job. J [Edited link]
