Peal chase modes.

As always, I have one of "those" clients, who want to use mac2k´s as follow spots.

However, this time it *might* be possible.. if I knew how to do it and if there is a way to do it.

Luckily, its to follow some girls entering a concert hall, through the seating and walking onstage.. ie a set route..

SO, I understand mode 0 is "enable chase" in a submaster, and mode 2 is to enable chase at spead of x% depending on where the fader is set..

Is there a way that I can set the submaster fader to run through the steps of the chase (it is a winding route and not straight so will need about 5 steps or so) as I raise the fader at the spead I raise the fader at... this meaning I can "follow" the girls walkin in on their route just by raising the fader at the same rate as they walk.

as always, thanks in advance.

fixed it.. its amazing what 30mins of peace and a manual can find.

for future searches... the solution is, record the chase, edit times and set all to 0 and link off.

raise the submaster and then press go to activate it, you can use the wheels to manually fade.

something new learned today.

For clarity this is not true. There are no modes for chases. For cues mode 0 is no timing, mode 1 is timed, mode 2 is fade by fader.

I was going to suggest something slightly different - not sure if this would work or not but the theory says to me it would.

Create 5 separate cues (or memories) on 5 playbacks for the 5 steps you mention. Set each one to a mode 2 then as you raise the fader, the mac will follow the position of your fader. Hope that makes sense and that it's true! I'm sure Nick will correct me if not!
