neeraj.pola Posted November 22, 2010 Share Posted November 22, 2010 Hi allNeeraj here once again, We are normally do watch out in dubai,did lot of shows in the middle east. my question is, on the screen edge blend area, if we are looking the screen from far front a slight black shadows comes on the all blending edges(areas).I tried to increase the blending percenatge from 25% to 30%,still no effect.normally we work with XGA resolution??anybody can help me to sort the issue thanx and regards, pola Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Johnparrack Posted December 6, 2010 Share Posted December 6, 2010 If the brightness of the soft edge blend changes with the viewing position in the room, then it is most probably the Screen surface at fault.. As Watchout will not let you alter each blend, I would suggest, if the projectors have it built in, using the projectors to do the blend with their own internal blending capabilities..eg if christies, you can alter not only gain, but black levels and gamma within the soft edge.. also barco synergix can do this. hope this helps Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I thought I would add that this phenomena is far more noticeable when using short throw lenses. You can get away with a high gain screen if you are using long lenses.
