Dimming a PAR36 fitting

We dim ours - mostly they're OK but you may find you need a dummy load on the dimmer to get an even dimming curve. Some of ours need it, some don't - it depends on the transformer - just try it and see, there may be some flickering on dimming and if there is, bung a dummy load on it.

Also depends on your dimmers. If you are unlucky you'll cook the transformer and kill it.

Hi

I'm getting a Pulsar 6X5A dimmer pack from Matins lighting.

EDIT: would the dimmer cook the transfomer

Thanks

Jake

Pulsar have been dimming transformer loads as long as anyone, and longer than most, so I'd be very surprised if a Pulsar dimmer doesn't work just fine.

I have a toy three channel Pulsar dimmer, and its fine with inductive loads.
