mrjammy83
OK guys I have recently acquire 4 analogue light processor Qpack analogue dimmers Now I understand about getting demux units to make these dmxable. however all the pack have information printed on them regarding DMX and little plates over where XLR connections and dip switches would be put. I therefore wonder if it is possible to buy borrow steal or build the DMX module in to these dimmers to get them doing DMX. An old post on here referring to MADHIPPYS Q packs suggest they were ultimately Analogue dimmers with DMX optional. (not to mention a strange dip switch "code" as he puts it. So is this possible or shall I just get the demux and be done with it. Having them modded to DMX would make them far more versatile as we would like all 4 to be used as satalite dimmers reducing the amount of cable required for those occasional specials and floor lights etc.
boatman
If it helps, the Q-Pack manual can be found on the Lightprocessor website here. It mentions the DMX module so it's probably worth a call to Lightprocessor.
Ben
Hi Yes there was a DMX module available for the units, however as they have been out of production so long you would have to be very lucky to find any and I know that while at Light processor we did not have any and unfortunately at the time were unable to get stock of them anymore.
