Screens, projector and lighting advice needed

Hi all,

New here and in need of some expert advice on a new stage setup I am putting together.

Please take a look at the layout I have in mind HERE first of all. NB This is a typical stage and will vary from venue to venue in terms of size and space etc.

As you can see, I intend to have 3 screens and 3 projectors.

Screen 1 needs to be dual purpose (front or rear) as when space behind permits I will use rear projection. I was planning to use twin white Rosco material for this. (or can I use grey??)

Screens 2 and 3 will always be rear projection and I was thinking of Rosco light translucent or grey again for these.

All 3 projectors will be Acer S5200 Short Throw 3000 ansi lumens (I think) which will give me 4:3 120" diagonal pictures at a throw distance of 1.47 metres.

Other than the choice of screen material, I need advice about lighting the rest of the stage. As you can see, there will be 3 main performance areas which will need to be lit. I would like to use LED Par64 cans but I gather that the light dispersion is fairly wide with these lights. How much will screen material choice affect result due to the lighting on stage? Is my choice of projector adequate? The performance areas needn't be super bright, just so artists can be seen.

If anyone has experience of LED cans and how to narrow the focus etc. that would be great.

To a certain extent, areas 2 and 3 are less important and could be lit from cans placed on the floor either side of the central projector. But the front of stage area 1 is more difficult. I could just put up cans at either side of the front of stage and point them down at the centre but I'm not sure how much of this light will flood onto the screens and diminish the effect.

Hoping that someone with more experience will come up with a workable solution.

Thanks a lot,

Kev
