soundesk Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Hi guys I'm looking to hire a set of tabs with a kitchen painted on them.Anyone know where I may beable to hire some from. Dave
paulears Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Er, I've never seen tabs with anything painted on them - do you mean a cloth that can be wiped? If so, what size?
Roderick Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Oh Paul, don't be so unkind to someone using the wrong terminology.Obviously he is looking for a painted backdrop! Dave, it probably would be helpful if you listed where you are. I could give you a contact, but the shipping from Sydney could be horrendous! Also a rough size would be good.
soundesk Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 It's tabs I'm looing for not a backdrop.I'm in northamptonshire.Dave
paulears Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 You have us really confused now! What exactly is it you want, tabs, a two piece cloth that overlaps in the middle? I must admit I've never seen a painted kitchen that parts in the middle, which is what I think you mean? Like Roderick, have we got crossed terminology here?
smalljoshua Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I have seen more than one painted cloth (I'm using a couple in the next month or so) that splits in the middle with an overlap so that it can be used on a tab track. I'm afraid I can't help with the kitchen but I hope this clarifies things. Josh
mrjammy83 Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Just a thought (im in kettering by the way) could you not hire a standard back drop and wipe it across on a track. or is the centre split important We at the lighthouse theatre kettering have a spare tab track (a tad bent) if its any help to you HTH James
OllieH Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Maybe the OP wishes to pull the backdrop as if it were two tabs i.e. if room in the wings is limited or there is an inability to take the backdrop out. That said, you'll struggle to find a backdrop curtain of a kitchen that is conveniently cut in two to make tabs.
