KDD
I am considering purchasing some of these new style short throw projectors which have a reflective mirror which allows very the projector to be placed very close to the screen. The would be ideal to be able to us in venues with very small space. You can back project with the screen only 0.3m away from the wall, that is ideal for what we do. I am looking at the Hitachi CP-A100 and the new just released Sanyo PDG-DWL2500, they are both around the 2500-3000 lumens. has anyone any experinece with these projectors and aware of there advantages and disadvantages. AHYoung
We have hitachi in our hirestock and have sold units for touring shows, fixed instal etc. The hitachi is very good, but you have to understand the limits. The projector has to be considerably below or above the image, this is a fixed distance and tilting the projector will move the top not the bottom, so you cant have a projector on the floor with an image that goes to the floor or for that matter an image to the ceiling if the unit is in the air. The screen has to be prefectly flat. the light hits it at such an angle that the smallest ripple will end up with massive distortion in the image. If its a portable screen, you need a solid fixed frame one. IF you have the money go for the cpa 200, as the advanced keystone correction will make your life very easy and its much brighter than you think... If you send me the dimensions I can do the calculations for you, or have a dig around at http://www.hitachidigitalmedia.com/homepag...&country=GB cheersAlastair
KDD
I was also looking at the cpa 200 but could not see the difference other than that of the extra 500 lumens. glad u have pointed out that it has keystone correction as that does help a lot and of course that it is brighter, taht always helps. have u any feedback on the new sanyo version at all?
