likos
Hello again, on my continuing pursuit of buying a small rig consisting of 2 MA F12+ and a pair of S18+ I have come across used Blackline F12 in ebay. What I want to ask is what are the differences between the old blackline products and the new Blackline+ products. Are they worth it? Thanks in advance,Giannis
Shez
I can't speak for the plus versions but there's certainly nothing wrong with the originals. I think on paper they're pretty much identical.
likos
Thanks man for your reply, I have contacted martin audio on the subject and this is their response for future reference for anyone interested """The Blackline+ range was developed so that every part of the design could be registered, something we had not done with the original Blackline range which was being extensively copied in China. Apart from the F8, which only has cosmetic changes, all the drivers in the Blackline+ range are new and in most cases more powerful than their Blackline counterparts. The voicing has also been changed to produce a slightly more forward mid-range. The F12 and F12+ are both rated at300 watt AES, whilst the S18 is rated at 500 watts and the S18+ is rated at 750 watts AES, giving a difference of 1.76dB.
