Oinodis Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 I am a young theatre student. I will have to direct a small play in on the stage of a theatre/pub in London and I will need an Audio Mixer. Being a student, money is my main concern, so I can't afford to spend a lot for very good equipment. I had a look online to find something good at a very good price and I have seen the Behringer Xenyx X2222USB Mixer for 260 quid that's my maximum budget, but if you think it's worth the money I can buy it. Here's where I found it: http://www.shoppydoo.co.uk/prices-audio_mi...udio_mixer.html Thanks!
Brian Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 You can get one for a lot less than that. Search on eBay for 2222fx and you'll find someone selling them for £169 for B-Stock units complete with warranty. I bought a mixer from the same seller and their service was fine.
MarkPAman Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 If it's for one show, why buy? You could hire something better for much less money. E2A - Should this be in sound?
Andrew C Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 E2A - Should this be in sound?Yep, and I'd agree on hiring too!

Be aware that these mixers have only eight XLR inputs although they are advertised as 20 channels! the rest of the inputs are various types of jack inputs for line applications!
kerry davies Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 John, fill in your profile, tell us where you are and, who knows, someone may have something suitable and cheap just around the corner.
timtheenchanteruk Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 yup, 8 Mic, 4 Stereo (makes 16) IIRC behringer than add the "tape in" (up to 18 now) and the two stereo returns (giving the 22) lovely and over inflated then.
