DCS 200 question

I recently recieved a pair of new DCS 200s at my property, and ran into an rather unique issue. I am taking a widescreen signal (1280x720) and having to tweak the timings to completely fill the screen and have saved the config. The issue I'm running into is that if I switch to the logo, and then attempt to pull up the input again, it doesn't pull the saved config back and returns it to it's original size. Is there a way to force it to take the saved config without having to recall it every time?

I think this was an old problem with DCS 200s, you need to see if they have the latest firmware update, however we had this problem a year ago and a tech on that event had the problem 2-3 months before that, so I am very surprised that the new units are still doing it.

Make sure you are running the latest software Version 1.13 you can find it on the barco website.

Also, make sure that you have saved the sizing set up, and then turn off auto acquire. If you leave it on, the system assumes you want to re size the source each time.

Hope this helps!

No Problem! Happy to help. The DCS can be a misunderstood little youth :D The Auto features are cool when you are doing the punch and pray thing, but if you are setting it up and then operating it is always best to save each source and then turn off all of the auto stuff. it switches much faster as well.

The biggest trick to all of the Folsom/Barco kit is to keep the software up to date. FYI, new Encore 2.0 software should be out tomorrow or the next.

The DCS can be a misunderstood little youth <_<

But when you treat her right, she's a babe :) I've just spent a week with the FSR OEM version in which I was mixing and matching a variety of occasionally rather strange input formats (1280x960p anyone?) to a rather tedious xga output. Auto-everything and it worked brilliantly. The think to remember is that you need to save setting changes on a by-channel basis at the time you make the changes, which often (though not always...) means scrolling down rather than hitting esc and hoping for the option to save...
