timtheenchanteruk
Ok, Im looking of music options again. this time, something like the hallelujah chorus, but not the hallelujah chorus, if that makes sense... suggestions on a postcard.... (or just the forum...)
bruce
The one that immediately came to mind was Handel's "Zadoc the Priest". Possibly more familiar as the theme from the champion's league coverage.
GridGirl
I was also going to suggest Zadok the Priest! If you want something which is just instrumental, The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba could be a good one - it's also by Handel, or possibly a section of his Water Music or Royal Fireworks music. Odd how everything I've suggested is by Handel, as is of course the Hallelujah chorus!!
cedd
Or the olympic fanfare by John Williams. Downside is, everyone will know it!
bruce
If you want to raise a smile, Bill Conti's fanfare from "Rocky"
timtheenchanteruk
cheers, Ill have a look though these, might get away with somthing cheesy, it is a comedy... IMO, anything using the halleluja chorus is likely to be be full of cheese anyway...
paulears
Lady of the Lake - On the Rick Wakeman Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table - 46 seconds long, all choral voices, and quite spooky!
cedd
Oooh, just had a thought. The opening to "Find Your Grail" from Spamalot. Lots of oooh's and aaaah's.
chelgrian
Ok, Im looking of music options again. this time, something like the hallelujah chorus, but not the hallelujah chorus, if that makes sense... suggestions on a postcard.... (or just the forum...) If you want rousing massed choruses then try almost anything by Sir Hubert Parry. Also choral works of John Blow or Henry Purcell might fit the bill. However if you want something like the Hallelujah chorus it's probably going to be another bit of Handel of some sort.
