Gareth Owen
Anyone know of an alternative to the Shure SH55 for use as a prop? Basically it needs to look like an SH55 but it dosen't even need to work, let alone sound good... I need a dozen of 'em for a show and the real all-singing all-dancing version is a bit expensive for something thats going to get slammed in to the stage eight times a show, eight times a week... timtheenchanteruk
depends on your budget, CPC do a pulse oneretro mic to me, even for just a prop its worth the money, it looks right and cheaper than the time spent getting a prop to look the part. (they dont sound too bad either if used for real)
Jivemaster
http://www.terralec.co.uk/vocal_and_speech...ne/17107_p.html Similar ish! They work but no idea what they sound like! Alternatively get a props maker to mould them in resin with silver paint etc
