mksound
Hey all,I have a double Dynacord P5 rig and the acoustifoam is starting to show its age and I was considering the possability of replacing the grills with standard powercoated grills. Just wondering if any of you know where I could buy sheets of this as I would have 8 bins and 4 tops to replace the grills on. Thanks in advance. c.cam108
We got some new grills made up to size and powdercoated a while ago. I can find out who made them and post back.
J Pearce
Adam Hall sell acoustically transparent foam if you just wanted to replace the foam?
Brian
It's unlikely you will find stock powder coated mesh anywhere. The reason is that once you cut or bend the mesh the powder coating will be damaged so no one will bother to stock it. The proper way to do this is to get the mess powder coated once it's been worked.
csg
I suggest going over to speakeplans.com and contacting markie on that forum. He makes up powder coated speaker grilles for many of the members on that forum, very good quality and very reasonable in cost.
Pete Alcock
MK, Actually Penn Fabrications sell powdercoated perforated grille, either in 8'x4' sheets or they'll cut it to your size. I don't know the cabs you mention, but if they already have metal grilles, you could get these shotblasted and re-coated. I did this with a few old mic stands I was given and they come up a treat. Not expensive either. Pete.
