Chris Beesley
As far as im aware these have not been produced for years. Any stock will be odd's and ends that people have left in warehouses.
Smiffy
A Thread from 2006 for you http://www.blue-room.org.uk/index.php?showtopic=14633 Might be worth considering some newer technology, LED's etc. Not sure how far 800 quid will get you though. Cheers Smiffy

Sound In Gloucestershire
the product you mention, I presume its the discharge version? Are you just trying to project a colour changing spot across the room? abstract havnt made these in many many years and have recently stopped giving back up on them (a guy called lektrix still does spare, but for how long?)So do you really want to install 8 of them when you cant get proper backup? Depending on what you want to do with them, consider LED Parcans, even cheap ones (cpc thomann are good suppliers) are pretty decent now and you can get more of them for your budget, so good for getting a good spread, I wont get into recommending which parcan to go for, theres a thread for that, but you can get par 56's with 5mm leds for £35, although id recommend 10mm as its only a little bit more now we have to consider your budget and there will be better options out there but check outhttp://prolight.co.uk/item/parc38/essentially a 3W RGB spotlight, comes with a 12 degree lens, but also has a 6 Degree lens in the box too, these retail about £78 each, maybe less if you buy 8! if you want something as close to the abstract effects, then look at the isolution rangethey do 3 models with 3 diff lamps250w dichroic lamp £215150 discharge £300250w discharge £
KevinE
The standard Abstract Scenesetter 3CED uses a 150W discharge lamp. You wont get 8 x 150W discharge colourchangers for £100 each of any brand unless they're very second hand. Geni do a 250W halogen DMX colour changer called the Mojocolor and it's just over £100 new. timsabre
The isolution ones originate from a copy of the Abstract one (though they improved the design somewhat) so it's about as close as you'll get. The Abstract ones suffered from discolouration of the light source when pointed downwards due to incorrect burn angle of the MBI150 lamp so weren't that popular and haven't been manufactured since about 1998.
