sam.henderson Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Along similar lines: What do you think when lighting techs look back to 2003 and 2004 they will think of as the biggest breakthroughs?? What have been the most major developments of 03/04. Will they look back and say I cant believe anyone used DMX instead of earthernet??? etc. etc. Sam
P. Funk Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 I reckon the LED fixtures... but not much else.
SceneMaster Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 starting with the birth of the Universe. Actually it starts with the birth of the solar system and our sun not the universe which is much “biggerâ€. Sorry this is just me being picky. :(
kalmatthew Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 starting with the birth of the Universe. Actually it starts with the birth of the solar system and our sun not the universe which is much “bigger”. Sorry this is just me being picky. :(<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well to be picky, it either started at the birth of the universe with the first wave/partical of light, or with the first incident of light being added to a production not just our solar system. Kal - who is trying to give up being a pedant.

vinny baby Posted October 29, 2004 Posted October 29, 2004 I just hope that us LDs and technicians dont get phased out by computers. I scream everytime some one askes me if I know how to program MIDI. "all we had when I was workin, was those bloody moving heads, lasers, and LEDs. We had to drive to gigs, we didnt have any of these hovering crafts." "when I was a lad we only had DVDs, Playstations and PC's", You dont know your born" <-----peter kay moment vince
