Transporting some truss in London.

I would suggest squeeky wheels but they might be quite expensive for such a short trip. so a quick google gives taxi van. you would need their large van for 4 metre lengths.

 

a friend of mine told me once he'd taken an 8-rung zarges on the tube. might be a bit of an "old fisherman's" tale ...

May have acquired a lift through a friend.

 

Carrying would be interesting, I once had to wheel a rather heavy flightcase the length of Tottenham Court Road and have also carried a ladder for about a mile to a hotel in Russell Square.

 

That taxi van site appears cheaper than the other man and van companies I had found. Will remember it in future.

Could you not just get a few skates or empty flightcases and roll them along like that!.

 

As menetioned above 11am is a good time in that area. All the office guys SHOULD be in their offices!!!!! - and there not to many tourists wandering around aimlessly :-)
