mac500 Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Hi guys, anyone know of a decent supplier for these to hire? Dates:5th-15th November and I need 4 of them. YoursMichael Brenkley
Don Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Michael, depending on your use for these, you can of course go to PRG (Vari-lite) Greenford 0208 575 6666or Richard martin lighting for TVAFM Lighting for Film and TVWhite light for theatre usestage electrics (but I think have been brought for west end)Entec lighting and sound you will find any of these companies have a good stock of Vl's but going to PRG direct would ensure you the best technical support. Hope this is some help
mac500 Posted October 26, 2004 Author Posted October 26, 2004 Yeah have tried as always PRG but they are extremly busy with MTV music awards etc. Everywhere is really busy for hires just seeing if anyone knew of anywhere else that does these units.
Don Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Tell me about it, I am working on the MTV awards. Who did you ask?Dont think we have many series 2000 on the show, mostly Vl1000, 3000 etc There is also a company called set lighting and sound that used to have some.
mac500 Posted October 26, 2004 Author Posted October 26, 2004 You've got virtually all of the VL's and the 5's and 5 arcs. I only want 4 units hehe. Oh well I'll find them somewhere.
colinmonk Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Richard Martin Lighting won't or dont usually deal with general hire, to things outside of TV ( edited in italics by me )
Don Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 What makes you say that?I have never had a problem hiring from them
mac500 Posted October 26, 2004 Author Posted October 26, 2004 I've tried RML all there units are out for the week I need them.
