Wilflet
morning all. Iv got myself into a bit of a confusion with EASE 4.3, essentially im doing some gigs with boxes that arnt in the database (and I cant find anywhere else), but the manufacturer is very detailed in spec sheets. So Iv opened up a similar shaped cab in speaker base, edited the case and gone through with the manufacturers specs for sensitivity, max power handling, Q factor etc. from this the software has come up with graphs that match ones in the manual for the speaker - so im fairly confident that its behaving as a reasonable approximation of what I want it to. from here iv also made a cluster of 3, also saved as a .spk file. When I render balloons and globes for both the individual cab and the cluster I can see all the coloured shapes I expect to be seeing (so far so good) but when I put it into a room and map I cant see anything. Iv tried both cab and cluster, in different rooms, with audience areas and listener chair mapping, iv tried turning it around in case iv messed up and ended up with the sound coming out the back, iv made sure theyre activated in the edit room window, iv made sure the speakers are selected in the mapping set up window.... can anyone think of anything iv missed?Other speakers iv not tinkered with work fine, so im guessing its something iv done in editing the speaker, but would this still give me the balloon view looking right? Iv spent better part of three days trying to sort this, and think iv got to the point now where I wont see the wood for the trees, so im throwing this out there in search of a fresh mind. so can anyone think where I might have gone wrong/how to fix it? Cheers, Will
mostlyharmless
Youve right clicked, properties, then clicked 'set all to max' on the volume bit? I'd be very dubious with the acruacy of the data you are using though - it takes a lot of hard work to measure a cab for ease.
