leap frog

Hey all.

I'm working with a company who have a brand new leap frog... and whilst plotting the memories, it seems to me that there is no option for linking memories.

For example, I want memory #1 to link straight on to #2 without me having to press the 'GO' button.

Is that the case?

It seems really od that I have such a grand desk and it doesn't have this function. I've scanned the booklet and can't find the option.

Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance

you are indead missing something

what your looking for is the jump memory function.

when you have programmed the memory you can then select in the comments colomn on the screen to AUTO jump the cue to a specified cue.

I think thats correct. it definatly is in the manual from page 98. your looking for the Automatic trigger function.

if ever you get stuck with the desk. jon hole and pete kirkup will always be willing to help you out. either here or at zero88.com.

just to add. If you are new to the desk I recommend turning tracking mode off as this gives you the ability to program exactly what you see onstage without the desk tracking. Tracking can get very confusing if you start inserting cues with the memory stack.

that sounds like exactly the information I was looking for.

thank you.

I'm away from the desk now but look forward to trying it out when I get back to it on tuesday.

as it happens, the plotting wasn't as bad as I thought.

we are working with 8 scrollers and I was anticipating needing to insert extra cues in order to blind forward the scroller ready for action.

as it happens, we ended up using colours next to the one just used on the previous scroller, so in practise, I only ended up needing to add in a couple of blind cues to serve the purpose.

if I can get your tip underway, I should be able to get these blind cues to cue themselves.

if that makes any sense.

I know what I mean.

and I'm grateful for your advice.

cheers
