Hi Guys

Just thought I would make you all aware that a Yamaha LS9 16 channel with additional 8 way jack input card was stolen from the Gilded Ballon, Teviot House, Edinburgh on the morning of the 19th August 2010. These items are the property of Orbital Sound Limited and will be marked accordingly.

Serial Numbers

LS9 16 channel - H01007

Jack Input Card - P01132

If you have any information relating to the theft of these items, please PM myself.

Thanks

Calder

I'ld heard a rumour about this one the other day so this confirms it. We'll keep our ears open for anything on this.

There appears to have been a number of thefts at the Ed Fringe this year. I know that some of Black Light's gear was stolen from another venue. I've always felt that venue security can be poor - especially when a space doesn't have a show going in - which can make it easy for the opportunist theif. Saying that, an LS-9 is not exactly something you can hide under your jacket!

Believe it or not he did walk out the front of the building with it under his arm covered in black tat! We know this as we have him doing it on CCTV, which has been forwarded to the police.

Unfortunately due to data protection we can not currently post an image online (although we would love to!).

Dunc - you are right the other one was stolen at the start of the festival from another venue, I will see if I can get the serial number and will post it here.

Not sure if it will help but there are currently 9 of the LS9s going on ebay at the moment - 8 of which originate from the states but one is UK based. Although with the picture, description and price tag methinks its more likely to be someone in the inustry rather than an opportunist. Either way, it may be worth a look.
